Hands-On Training for Birth Workers Committed to Woman-Centered Care – Up to 13 CPD Hours
Active Birth Workshops are practical, evidence-based programs designed to equip midwives, doulas, childbirth educators, and other maternity professionals with essential skills. These workshops build confidence in supporting physiological birth through hands-on learning and thoughtful discussion.
These workshops are ACM-endorsed
and offer up to 13 CPD hours upon completion.
Participants explore movement, upright positions, and pain relief techniques that promote positive birth outcomes. In addition, you’ll learn how to communicate these strategies in a way that empowers expectant parents and supports autonomy in birth.
Through experiential learning, visual tools, and peer collaboration, you’ll gain practical knowledge you can apply immediately. As a result, these workshops reignite passion for woman-centred care and strengthen your ability to advocate for physiological birth.
What You’ll Learn:
- ✔ Understand the principles of physiological and instinctive birth
- ✔ Promote comfort and mobility using upright positions and movement
- ✔ Reduce fear and interventions with non-pharmacological pain relief strategies
- ✔ Build trust in the birth process through respectful, inclusive teaching
- ✔ Facilitate learning with visual aids, hands-on techniques, and real-world tools
- ✔ Empower parents and professionals with confidence and practical skills
- ✔ Bring active birth practices into clinical and antenatal education settings
