About the Authors of Breastfeeding Atlas 7th Edition

Barbara Wilson-Clay has been assisting breastfeeding families since 1981. She became certified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 1987 and was recognized as a Fellow of the International Lactation Consultant Association in 2008. Barbara maintains a private practice in Austin, Texas, and is a member of numerous local, national, and international boards and coalitions to promote breastfeeding.

Kay Hoover is employed as the lactation consultant for Riddle Memorial Hospital in Media, Pennsylvania. She became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 1985. Additionally, during her career she has been a lactation consultant for 3 different hospitals: Philadelphia Department of Public Health in the Division of Maternal, Child and Family Health, the Center for Childhood Obesity Research at The Pennsylvania State University. Also, she maintained a private practice for over 20 years. Kay has a national reputation as a lecturer and author.
