Giving Birth (Suzanne Arms) DVD is the updated version of the powerful video “Giving Birth – Challenges and Choices”. Suzanne Arms, an American childbirth activist made this film. The video explains the scientific evidence about the impact of the birth process on both mother and baby. Additionally, It includes comments from 3 obstetricians, a labour and delivery nurse, a doula, a Caesarean mother and a midwife with 25 years of experience attending home births.

It explores issues of prenatal care, overcoming fear, dealing with pain in labour, epidural anaesthesia, caesarean surgery, routine hospital procedures, and being empowered in birth. It shows a natural birth on a birthing stool and also a water birth.
