Karen Guilliland

Karen is a women’s health activist and feminist midwife. In fact, this is what Karen has been doing for the last 30 years! She is currently the National Director of the New Zealand College of Midwives (Inc). Karen works on all aspects of the changes in midwifery in NZ. She has served on the Nursing Council of NZ, the Maternity Benefits Tribunal and the External Advisory Committee at the Waikato and Otago Polytechnics Midwifery Degree program.
